Reflection
Emotional wounds need care, time and company too. God does not ignore the pain you carry inside, and He can bring comfort even in hard moments. Healing does not always happen quickly, but little by little the heart can find hope, calm and safety again.
Emma was very sad after a fight with a close friend. They had said things that hurt. Now Emma felt a strange emptiness every time she remembered what had happened.
Even though she tried to distract herself, inside she kept feeling the pain. Part of her wanted to pretend she did not care, but another part of her was still wounded.
That night she talked with her mother about what had happened. As she cried, she said something very honest: “It feels like my heart hurts.”
Her mother hugged her and reminded her of something important: “God knows how to heal wounds nobody can see too.” Sometimes we think that only physical wounds need care, but emotions can hurt deeply as well. Words, rejection, disappointment and loss can leave marks on the heart.
God does not ignore that pain.
He walks with us through emotional healing too, little by little, with patience, love and comfort. Some wounds take time to heal, but that does not mean they will always hurt the same way.
