Reflection
Thinking too much about everything that is still unsolved can leave you emotionally exhausted. God does not want you living under constant pressure about the future. Learning to live one day at a time is also a way of trusting, and of resting your heart and your mind.
Valentina had many worries at the same time. She thought about homework, responsibilities, conversations she still had to have and situations she did not yet know how to solve.
The more she tried to think about everything at once, the more anxious she felt. It seemed as if her mind never rested.
One afternoon, while she was talking with her grandfather, she started telling him everything that worried her. After listening to her calmly, he said something simple: “Not everything has to be solved today.” Those words made Valentina breathe differently for a moment.
Sometimes we want to solve everything right away because we are afraid of leaving things unfinished. But trying to carry every problem at the same time can wear out the heart and the mind.
God does not ask us to live trapped in constant worry about the future.
He also teaches us to live one day at a time, trusting that there will be grace, help and direction for each moment when the right time comes.
You do not have to solve your whole life today. You can rest, step by step.
