Reflection
Trying to please everyone all the time can leave you deeply tired on the inside. God wants to help you live with more inner security and less fear of rejection. You do not have to keep changing who you are in order to feel loved or accepted. Your worth stays the same even when not everyone approves of your decisions.
Daniel decided to keep praying to God even though he knew some people did not agree with it. There was a law meant to force him to act another way, and many expected him to change so he would avoid trouble.
Daniel surely felt the pressure and the fear. It would have been easier to do what everyone expected and avoid the criticism and the consequences.
But he understood something important: he could not live trying to please everyone all the time. Sometimes we feel that same pressure to fit in, to be accepted, or to do what others expect so we will not face rejection. We want everyone to be happy with us, always. Yet living to please everybody can wear the heart out.
God wants to teach us to make decisions with wisdom, with identity, and with inner peace, even when some people do not understand our choices.
Not everyone will always agree with you, and that is okay. Your worth does not depend on getting constant approval from other people.
