Words have the power to leave a deep mark on a person's heart. God wants to help you use your voice to carry encouragement, hope and comfort. Very often one kind sentence or one honest conversation makes far more difference than you imagine.

One day, Mephibosheth came before King David feeling insecure and ashamed. He had spent a long time believing that he had no worth and that he would be rejected because of his story and his physical limitations.

David, however, welcomed him in a completely different way.

Instead of humiliating him or making him feel less important, he spoke with kindness and honor. He told him that he would have a place at the king's table and would not be treated like someone forgotten.

David's words brought relief, hope and dignity to Mephibosheth's heart. Sometimes a single conversation can leave a deep mark on someone's life. Words can wound, shame and destroy. They can also comfort, strengthen and bring hope. God wants to teach us to use our words to care for people's hearts, not to hurt them.

You never know how much someone may need to hear: “I'm with you,” “You matter” or “You are not alone.”
