Reflection

Your mind needs rest too. Thinking too much about problems, mistakes or worries can leave your heart very tired. God does not want you to live trapped in anxiety. Learning to pause, to breathe and to trust Him can help you find more calm and more inner rest, one step at a time.

Sofia spent several nights thinking too much before falling asleep. She would go back over conversations, unfinished tasks and everything that worried her about the next day.

Even though she was tired, her mind stayed wide awake.

The more she thought, the harder it was to rest. She imagined problems, relived mistakes and felt like she could not switch off any of those thoughts.

One night her mom came into the room and found her awake, staring at the ceiling. She sat down beside her and said something simple: “Not everything has to be solved today.”

Then they prayed together, and Sofia began to breathe more calmly. Sometimes our minds get so full of worries that we forget to rest. We want to control everything, understand everything and solve everything right away.

But God also created rest as a gift for our hearts and our minds.

Not everything needs an answer right now. Not every worry has to follow you through the night.

Little by little, we can also learn to hand God the thoughts that feed our anxiety, and to rest, trusting that He keeps taking care of us while we sleep.
